Nancy Lewis
Nancy Lewis is an experienced art instructor and is excited to start her first class at TCT this year. She is married and the mother of four children, three adults, and one teenager, and is a proud grandmother.
She holds degrees in Accounting and Business Administration, and she has continued to deepen her artistic practice through a wide range of art and professional development courses. Over the years, Nancy has guided children, youth, and adults through workshops that blend technique with exploration, helping each learner discover the unique way their creativity wants to speak.
Painting and mixed media are where Nancy feels most at home. She gravitates toward the interplay of materials: photography, acrylic paint, collage, fabric, and found objects like vintage trinkets and treasures. She loves the way these elements can be layered, woven, and transformed, revealing unexpected textures and connections.
Beyond the studio, Nancy enjoys time with her family, volunteering with her church and other organizations, practicing photography, making jewelry, painting, and upcycling. She considers it a success when a student finds a project that resonates deeply, something that inspires them and helps them recognize the artist they inherently are. This year, she looks forward to leading an art class that brings God's natural creations and incorporates them into their own new projects. They will also be encouraged to find ways to recycle and up-cycle everyday items into art.
