World History

Exploring World History by Notgrass is a comprehensive course that takes students on an engaging journey through world history from Creation to the present day. Students will explore major civilizations, significant events, influential figures, and cultural developments that have shaped the world. The course consists of 30 chronological units, each designed to provide a clear understanding of historical events through narrative lessons and original documents and speeches.

In this 30-week class for grades 9-12, students will have the opportunity to watch videos, participate in group activities, and engage in discussion as we examine the history of our world through the lens of Christianity.

Each week, students will read one unit from Exploring World History Volumes 1-2, along with additional primary source materials from the companion text, In Their Words. Students will also complete lesson review questions, unit quizzes, and comprehensive exams.

Required Materials: Exploring World History Volumes 1-2, and In Their Words - Available as a bundle from Notgrass here.

I will purchase the Exploring World History Quiz and Exam Book for each student and provide the necessary pages from the Exploring World History Student Review Book. Students will need a 3-ring binder with paper and dividers, plus access to the internet and Schoology.

Homework: Weekly reading of text and original documents, plus completion of weekly questions or quizzes. Possible projects and writing assignments.
