Rachael Boer

Rachael Boer is a violin and viola instructor based in Germantown, Tennessee, with over 20 years of experience teaching beginners through advanced students. Trained in both Suzuki and traditional methods, she focuses on excellent technique, strong sight-reading and ear-training skills, and an encouraging lesson environment.

A graduate of The Juilliard School (B.M., Viola Performance) with prior studies at Peabody Conservatory, Rachael’s performance background includes concerts at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and the Aspen Music Festival, along with chamber studies under Itzhak Perlman, Donald Weilerstein, and Earl Carlyss. She is a recipient of multiple scholarships and awards, including honors in national competitions, and has completed pedagogy training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

Rachael has maintained a private teaching studio for two decades and has taught as a Fellow in the Juilliard Instrumental Music Program. She is passionate about helping each student develop strong technical foundations, musical confidence, and a lifelong love of music.
