Psychology
This 30-week introductory psychology class for grades 9-12 provides a brief overview of the scientific study of the mind. Over the course of the class, we will cover the history and significance of psychology and how it developed into modern practice. We will cover topics such as nature vs. nurture, perception, memory, personality, and psychological disorders. We will use videos and games to enhance our learning of the material.
Some research writing assignments and presentations are planned for this class. Taught from a Christian worldview, students will learn how Scripture addresses these topics and will hide God’s Word in their hearts as they memorize verses throughout the year.
