Algebra II
This is a 32-week, 90-minute accelerated course in algebra content. Algebra 1 is a prerequisite to this course. Students will further their studies from Algebra 1 and see new material on matrices, logarithms, exponential functions, polynomial and quadratic functions, sequences and series, and transformations of functions. Students will also use a graphing calculator to aid in problem-solving. This course will teach them advanced calculator techniques to improve ACT/SAT scores.
This course will be supplemented with tutor-made video lessons weekly and online assignments through a game-based program. Class time will be spent reinforcing video lessons through hands-on activities and extending the lessons for advanced learners. Students will need to come to class having viewed the lessons and completed their daily online assignments in order to stay on track and be prepared. Monthly assignment calendar sheets will be given to students to follow, ensuring they are ready to fully participate in class each week.
Not sure if your child is ready for Algebra 2 just yet? Have them complete this placement test and check their answers to see where they are.
